Eithne O’Riordan lives on the beautiful Maharee, Dingle Peninsula. The dramatic landscape and solitude greatly inspire her work. Eithne works primarily in oils. Her work is mainly figurative in style and often tells a story.
“I paint with oils and work intuitively, letting the painting develop and change organically as I go.
I am influenced by whatever music I’m listening to and by my own personal experiences.
Painting brings me calm in a chaotic and overwhelming world and this is what I hope to evoke for others. I returned to painting a few years ago after a long absence; it felt like coming home and now I’ve started I cannot stop!”
